This exploration is in an effort to explore novel ways of integrating objective analysis into early stage design processes. The starting point was the sketch, a simple, yet effectively fast means of exploring ideation. By using a drawing tablet along with Rhino-Grasshopper, separate layers can be used to sketch out simple forms, which are then transformed near real-time into simulatable 3d geometry which is analyzed using ladybug to perform energy calculations. In the above example an incident radiation analysis is performed on the structure, taking into account surrounding structures, terrain, and vegetation. Feel free to check out the files used below!
